Henry Moore OM CH FBA
Henry Spencer Moore OM CH FBA (30 July 1898 – 31 August 1986) is best known for his large scale semi abstract monumental bronze sculptures and many drawings involving predominantly the mother and child form but also families and his artistic use of curves and gaping holes in his work.
He is one of the true icons of the art world and someone whose style and art forms are instantly recognisable throughout the world.
The Henry Moore Foundation was founded in his honour and his impact on many artists and sculptors has been immense.
