Andrea Biondetti was a specialist famous Italian painter who spent many long hours working en plein air in and around the Venice area of Italy, producing predominantly watercolours of many scenes across the wide spectrum of the Floating City. As well as the famous sights he loved to paint a quiet Venetian backwater illustrating the true nature of such a beautiful place as seen by someone living there away from the throng of continual tourists passing through.
