Very colourful and striking original painting from Dione Page whose star is rapidly rising in the world of Mod Britain female artists.
It's very hard to find her work on the open market so we are spoilt with this sumptuous example of her work called 'Snowing' painted in 1995, which is a great example of her unique style. It's painted using a mixture of gouache, wax pastel and lumograph pencil. Lumograph pencils produce a less shiny finish than using graphite pencils.
Dione is well known for producing two scenes within the same painting so here we have a stunning still life scene of pumpkins and flowers but in the background a window view to the snow scene in the garden with some eye-catching wall paper on the wall blending it all together nicely.
The image measures 67cm x 52cm, is mounted measuring 79cm x 64cm, unframed ready to frame.
The painting is signed, titled and dated bottom right.
